PROFESSIONAL ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Directed teams of programmer-analysts in installation, conversions and maintenance activities for all insurance division systems for a major insurance carrier. Coordinated and oversaw installation of claims and group administrations systems, implemented electronic print policy for all domestic offices based upon different state insurance compliance and regulations requirement
Designed and implemented major systems conversion from Unix-based to DOS-based Accounting, Inventory & Distribution system in 1995, then from DOS-based to Windows-based system in 1999. Directed all installation, conversion, implementation and training activities for both conversions.
Directed teams in development and implementation of new business application-entry, agency compensation systems and claims administration; system design received recognition in WANG national publication. The system design was started in 1984 and is the basis for the system still running today.
Provided technical and systems support for new corporate acquisitions. Designed internal procedures for agent contracts, agent licensing and commission payments.
Implemented and managed national corporate voice network saving approx. $800,000/year in long distance calling and directed installation of company?s first video conferencing system. Established first global electronic mail system encompassing multiple domestic and international locations. Prepared corporate telecommunications budget of $1.5 million.
Have assisted more than 75 businesses to become more productive, efficient and effective with their technology.
