Goal Setting for Enhanced Performance

This course will focus on the skills required to effectively involve employees in a partnership with management for high levels of employee and company performance. The content deals with the concepts and techniques of goal setting as an essential component of an effective performance management process that includes coaching and counseling support. The workshop will also include techniques to establish and communicate priorities to ensure your staff understands the key objectives and will maintain focus to accomplish these goals.

Time Management

With all companies being required to operate in a lean environment with as small staff as possible, it is imperative that every member of the organization be able to work efficiently. This course teaches proven time management concepts along with current best practices. Prior to the workshop, participants will complete a “time log” to track how they are actually spending their time. This information will be assimilated to tailor the content of the workshop to their specific concerns. It is recommended that a follow-up session be held approximately two weeks after the training to reinforce topics of the workshop and to review application of the tips and techniques discusses during training.

Feedback and Performance Management with Generational Differences

This workshop will focus on the four generations in the US workplace today. The content will include characteristics of each generation, their values and goals, and perceptions of the “other” generations. Guidelines to achieve the best performance from each generation will be discussed along with processes to engage each generation in performance management. The course will conclude with providing effective feedback to each generation: when, how, format, and style.

At the conclusion of this workshop, participants will be able to apply the communication model to enhance positive interactions with others. The content will focus on identifying and avoiding barriers to communication, effective non-verbal communication, techniques to improve listening skills, and giving and receiving feedback.

Behavioral Interviewing: It’s More Than a Gut Feeling

This course will focus on planning a logical, structured interview based on thorough knowledge of the job, and using effective interviewing techniques to gain behavioral examples that will determine the presence or absence of skills. Through the use of a video, hands-on exercises, and group discussions, participants will enhance skills at effective hiring techniques.
